Castle Appoints Business Development Manager for BC
Mississauga, Ontario, March 31st, 2008:
Castle Building Centres announced that Les Gillespie has accepted the position of Business Development Manager, British Columbia Region.
Gillespie will commence his employment with Castle Building Centres Group Ltd. on April 14, 2008 and will report to Alan Schoemperlen, Castle's Western Region Business Development Manager. Gillespie brings many years of industry knowledge and experience, most recently serving with CanWel Hardware in British Columbia.

Castle Announces New Business Development Manager

Castle Building Centres Group Limited/ Commercial Builders Supplies Inc. announced that Ron Craighead has joined its team effective January 7, 2008 as business development manager. Craighead brings several years of experience and knowledge to the Castle organization as well as many years of involvement in the industry. As business development manager, he will lead and coordinate Castle's efforts under CBS Inc.

They are Lumberworld Operations Ltd., Victoria, BC; Mouldings Plus, Prince George, BC,; Done-Rite-Here Homes, Leask, SK; Sioux Narrows Building Supplies, Sioux Narrows, ON; Rideau Lakes Building Centre, Elgin, ON; The Home Place Building Supplies, Hilden, NS; Knol Window & Door Ltd., Oxford, NS; and Thompson’s General Store, Bass River, NB. Castle says it exceeded its growth objectives for 2007 and its profitability was the highest recorded in the four-decade history of the group.
Castle Resigns From Reliance
Mississauga, Ontario, December 17th, 2007:
Castle Building Centres Group Ltd. is resigning from the Reliance Buying Group, effective December 31. It says the move is a strategic shift to ensure its’ role as ‘Canada’s Premier Lumber & Building Materials Buying Group’ for the independent. Ken Jenkins, Castle president says “we will continue to protect and grow our ability to offer the best programs and services for independent LBM operators in Canada.”

Holman brings significant industry experience and knowledge and more specifically knowledge of the Castle organization in his current role as commodity program manager.
